History:
- Grew up in District 3
- Family of people who crafted security software, trusted and relied upon by the Capitol.
- Never participated in the Hunger Games, entered the Capitol to work for their IT departments and run basic maintenance, bottom of the food chain.
- Eventually earned himself a position in helping run some of the more important Capitol computer programs, never disobeyed and proved himself trustworthy.
- Snoops through all files, Capitol and Tribute alike. Broke into Lonestar and did nothing with it beyond reading in on everything.
- Delved deeper into the evidence behind District 13, eventually found a way to forward them information.
- Though he regularly visited home, he wasn't there for the firebombing.
- Understandably broken, unable to continue his facade. Faked his own death so he could be smuggled into D13.
- Runs their "IT Department", is looking to kick Lonestar up again now that it's fallen on the wayside.

Presentation: On the outside, Diode doesn't look particularly professional. He's a sloppy dresser and frequently manages to tie the top half of his jumpsuit around his waist so he can stroll around with bare arms in a wife beater. He has many tattoos from his days in the Capitol to the point where his arms and back are covered in them.

He comes across laid back and casual, he talks in a low voice and tends to listen more than he chats. He's well known for falling into absolute silence, particularly when he's working, he's been told it's off-putting but clearly he isn't changing it.

Nothing about him comes off particularly friendly, he doesn't smile and he has a stiff posture and something of a cold air. He isn't strict, as stated above, his manner of speech and dress is casual. It verges on condescending, particularly when he feels he knows better.

Motivations: Diode is shamelessly manipulative. He's not afraid to tell you one thing and do something else entirely. He doesn't have a lot of respect for the Tributes, though he doesn't express this whatsoever, he's happy to use them as canon fodder if it means taking down the Capitol. It's not out of disdain for them and he will probably become fond of more than a few of them, but he's more invested in himself and the people who actually live here.

His bitterness toward the Capitol is based on everything that happened to District 3 and the wrongs they committed there, along with the general oppressive nature. More than anything, he wants to shake things up. He fancies himself something of the chess master here and his intentions are pretty dark, even if he talks and engages people casually. His end game is more important to him than the people he's working with.

He has great respect for people with intellectual prowess, particularly when it comes to computers. He's interested in making as many allies of that sort as he can, so he'll offer whatever he can to get them on his side. He's intuitive enough to know what sort of rewards might appeal to people and he knows strings to pull to get those things.

Diode is fairly callous and not particularly sympathetic if you aren't useful to him, but he comes off like a cool bro to your face. It's not that he hates anyone beyond Capitolites and everyone involved in that mess, he just doesn't have much empathy for the smaller factors of the big picture.
